Meet Gene Sherman, DDS

Dr. Sherman received his Doctoral Degree in Dentistry from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1981. The following year, he opened his practice here in Algonquin, where he has become highly regarded by his patients who happily refer him to family and friends. They know that a dentist with more than twenty years of experience is now a master at redefining the art of a smile.

Dr. Sherman has dedicated his life to dentistry, our community of Algonquin and McHenry County, as well as his family.

He served as president of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce and the McHenry County Dental Society. He co-founded the Algonquin Dental Study Club and the McHenry County Dental Excellence Study Club.

Through these groups and others, he has extensive clinical interaction with dental colleagues and considerable continuing education.

Always Staying Up-To-Date

To provide patients with the best dentistry available, Dr. Sherman has studied and practiced with some of the most renowned dentists in the nation, including those at the LD Pankey Institute www.pankey.org and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. To further his education, he has completed and continues to attend a wide range of dental seminars. Dr. Sherman even branches out to new and developing practices such as the most recent addition to the practice, Snoring and Sleep Apnea treatment.

A Good Night's Sleep

Dr. Sherman has focused on the study and treatment of Snoring and Sleep Apnea through the use of Oral Appliances. His goal is to improve the sleep and breathing of his patients (and their spouses), providing them more restful sleep, better quality of life, and improved health and longevity.

Dr. Sherman is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, McHenry County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Algonquin Dental Study Club, and the McHenry County Dental Excellence Study Club.

Dr. Sherman is married to Mary, and together they have two daughters, Alissa And Rebecca.
